This role involves supporting clients in their own homes and community with all aspects of daily life that most of us take for granted. If you are caring and compassionate with a passion for helping others achieve the best they can, this could be the role for you. You will receive full training and become part of a dedicated team making a huge difference to the lives of those we support to helping them to remain living independently at home.
Senior Support Workers
Skilled in carrying out the role of a support worker you will also be responsible for the other staff working in your team. You will ensure that your team are delivering high quality, person centred care.
Specialist Care Workers
This role involves caring for those with highly dependant needs. This may include dementia care, multiple sclerosis care or those with debilitating physical diseases or injuries. Often additional training is required for this role and may include PEG tube feeding, stoma care or challenging behaviour training amongst others.
Ideally qualified to or working towards SVQ3 in Health and Social Care, you will lead and support practice development within the care team. You will have responsibility to oversee the day to day running of designated services, contribute to service provision and development and maintain communication with clients, staff and stakeholders alike. There will be an on call commitment attached to this role.
This role provides essential clerical and administrative support to the rest of the team. This includes dealing with telephone and email enquiries, maintaining filing systems, arranging meetings and appointments and assisting the registered manager in the recruitment process. IT and great organisation skills are required along with a methodical approach to work and attention to detail.
Domestic Service Providers
Providing domestic services to our clients is an important role in helping them remain in a safe and familiar environment. You will ensure all domestic duties are carried out to an exceptionally high standard while maintaining dignity, respect and confidentiality. These duties may include cleaning, laundry and shopping services.
After being matched to a client these staff will spend a few hours a week having a chat, going for a coffee or helping the client participate in various other social activities. This helps improve quality of life and reduces social isolation so is an important role. You will need to have good listening and communication skills and process a caring, sensitive and empathetic manner to be successful in this role.
We welcome volunteers, often clients' family members who like to assist us to give a little back. This may be helping with our interview panels, focus groups or simply pouring the tea or drawing the raffle at one of our many client get togethers.
